The sample above is one of three sections of the full course. Users were able to access short, on-demand learning segments to build their understanding of complex concepts before completing a summative assessment, applying their knowledge to specific classroom scenarios.
Project Format: A 1-hr interactive online course for adult learners created in Genially and hosted on Canvas LMS. The course helps instructors internalize key educational research and apply best practices to implement learning acceleration strategies in their classrooms.
Audience: Education professionals, instructional coaches, and leadership
Process: Using ADDIE and Backwards Design, I analyzed the target audience and developed learner personas to select a microlearning format that would best address the three main outcomes of this course for this group of learners. The course embeds UDL principles and adult learning theories to provide multiple means of action, expression, representation, and engagement through audio and video, formative quizzes with instant user feedback, peer discussion boards, learner choice, and robust accessibility features (transcripts, keyboard navigation, audio narration, closed captions, etc.)
Project Format: This is one in a series of short-form video tutorials supporting the implementation of a schoolwide behavior system. I used Camtasia to produce the video, audio, animations, and graphics.
Audience: Elementary school students, parents, and teachers.
Process: I collaborated with stakeholders (teachers, parents, school leadership committee) to determine project goals, and leveraged Action Mapping to break down desired behaviors into clear, easy-to-follow steps. I applied the same design and color-scheme to create supporting materials for each video, summarizing key information in concise, visual format.

Project Format: This flexible prototype was created to gather feedback from stakeholders and make changes to the course before moving to the development phase. Stakeholders could explore this prototype to get a sense of the look and feel of the course, including structure, flow, and navigation.
Audience: Project stakeholders (faculty and department chair) in a higher education environment
Process: Using a SAM approach, I built this mockup of the Plagiarism course (storyboard above) in Microsoft Powerpoint. This allowed for visualization of course elements and quick iterations based on the storyboard. Audio narration scripts were included via the transcript button for easy review and editing.
This analysis informed the design and development of the Learning Acceleration course (Case Study #1).

My experience as a classroom teacher provided frequent opportunities to dive into project based learning, improving engagement through gamification and interactive lesson design.
